Buckinghamshire Council approved Amazon Data Services UK's plans on 28 September 2026 to replace 17 industrial and warehouse units at the Ridgeway Distribution Centre, Iver, with a single two-storey data centre (about 30,525 sqm, main building about 20m high), a substation compound and a yard for 27 backup generators on a 7.3ha site. No MW figure has been published. The site is outside the green belt but in the Colne Valley Regional Park setting and an air quality management area. The Environment Agency generator permit is still to be decided.
